Good Morning
It's a sad thing that, even though today will be my last day here in Indonesia, I haven't watched even one DVD =( I think I'll take "Love Actually" to Singapore. Maybe I'll watch "Everything is Illuminated" if I have the time. That's if I've finished my Chinese Homework (yay! last homework)...
Can't wait for the flight later. Hopefully it has WISEMEN system, so that I can watch some more parts of the Walk The Line using my brother's two plug *smiles*
1 more day to February, how fantastic is that?

Happy, contented woman
Anyway, Chinese New Year's celebration is okay. I had dinner yesterday with my relatives, and lunch as well with them today. And then... I had dinner with my cousins and auntie and my family in Shangrila today!! Okay, honestly, the food was not as nice compared to the last time I ate there. Weird. The Bread Pudding somewhat didn't taste as nice as last time. That time when I first ate it, I was totally in heaven. It was FANTASTIC! Anyway, hopefully the next time I go back there, it'll be as marvelous as the first time, or maybe better! ^^
I'm quite happy with my angpaos.. *lmao* though 95% comes from my parents.. ^^
Anyway, I better start clearing up my homework. I don't feel like going out tomorrow. I don't feel like having dinner and lunch outside home tomorrow. I need to lose weight. I need to hibernate. I feel like a pregnant woman now. Even though I still do not know how it feels to be really pregnant. Hmm.. that reminds me of something sad...
Have it ever come across your mind of how horrible it'll feel as a girl if you lose your virginity to a guy, and the next thing you found out is that you're carrying his child?

Phew..
Hollywood star Joaquin Phoenix escaped unhurt from a serious car accident on Thursday, thanks to his seatbelt. The Walk the Line heart-throb, 31, was driving along a canyon road above Sunset Strip in Los Angeles when his brakes failed. The actor lost control of his car, which overturned and collided with another vehicle, police spokesman Jason Lee confirms. Fortunately both drivers were unhurt and Phoenix was able to walk away from the scene after he was assisted out of the vehicle. His publicist Susan Patricola says, "His brakes went out and the car flipped over. But he's doing fine. He may be very sore in the morning, but right now he is doing OK." Patricola adds the accident will not affect his planned attendance of the Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) Awards on Sunday.

Luckily, or else I wouldn't have known how to react..
One thing that I realise today, while reading some of my Friendster's testimonials, is that I haven't really sung in class for a looooong time. I think I didn't sing too much in class in 2005, agree? I rambled more about Bale.. *lmao*
Too curious to stop...
I can't stand the fact that SIA is already showing some movies that I'd like to watch, which will only be shown in Singapore in February. Some, I think, will not be shown in Singapore at all. Capote, North Country, Crash, Pride and Prejudice, Shopgirl... can't remember any more. I love SIA's Jubilee airplane, because the WISEMEN system allows you to start the movies any time you want, and you can even fast forward the movie if you'd like to. I want to fly somewhere far, far, far so that I can watch all the movies *lmao*..
I'd love to eat Shangrila's buffet.... but only time will tell on whether I'll get the chance. Hopefully I can go to Mangga Dua tomorrow with my brother, so that I can buy some DVDs... *lol*
Happy Chinese New Year to all of you... =)

Swim to my heart's content...
The rest of the school day is boring. Anyway, after school today, I met up with Jessica, my darling *lmao*. I was 15 minutes' late, and we watched "Broken Flowers" (reviewed below). And then, like some other occasions, I managed to glimpse the giant cardboard cutout outside Cineleisure Level 6 of Walk The Line, with my handsome Joaquin there *smiles* I really can't wait for 9th February!!! That's the day when Walk The Line is opening!! So many things to look forward to in February, hehehe.
Anyway, no more P.E. this week (Hallelujah).. and can't wait to get lots of ang paos during Chinese New Year.. heheheh ^-^

Movie Reviews
Broken Flowers (6.5 stars out of 10)
The movie is so-so. Bill Murray's acting really reminds me of his role in Lost in Translation. The style of film, in my opinion, is almost the same to Lost in Translation, just that I thought Lost in Translation was far more stylish. The pace of the movie was rather slow too. After watching Before Sunset (which is reviewed below), the ending is not that really shocking to me. (It's called open interpretation.. haha).
Before Sunset (7.0 stars out of 10)
Before I start reviewing, I'd like to warn that some people will find this movie very very very very very boring. There are seldom any changes in the point of view of the camera. It's basically two people talking talking talking. The thing that I love about this movie is the dialogue. They are very well constructed and meaningful. For the first 20- 25 minutes, I thought that I'll never finish watching the movie. But I started to like the movie once I began to take the movie from a different approach. I found the last part quite amusing.. *lol* Anyway, the ending might confused some people. After thinking about it, I thought it's a rather appropriate ending to the story.

Monday Monday Monday
Today was the first day of proper lessons. The day didn't start too well. I missed 106 by a mere 3 seconds, and then when I reached school, my form teacher, Mdm. Rahimah, greeted me with a blank face and asked me "Who's the rest of the people who haven't paid up Sports Complex?" Then she said something about responsibility... and she mentioned it again later during the contact time period. Sigh. Please forgive me madam, I'm a really inexperienced treasurer. No previous experience on being a treasurer..
Chemistry is okay. Surprise, surprise. My Chem teacher knows Ms. Eleanor Seah. He asked me, "How's Eleanor?" *lol* Later, to the class he asked, "Why you all take H1 Chem? Who takes Pure Chemistry in Secondary School?" Everybody raised up their hands. He then asked all of us one by one for our reasons. Then when it was my turn, before I said anything, he said "Eleanor would do a great job on you if she finds out." *Loooooooooooooooool*.
Anyway, Maths lesson was surprisingly good too. Geography lesson.. *sigh* as usual. I think my Human Geog teacher was super lame. She started the lesson by asking us about the Giraffe, Elephant and Refrigerator joke. As a continuation to the joke, she also asked us about the Lion King joke. *Sigh* What a wonderful start to the lesson.
Economics was very very very funny. I'm glad I don't get my form teacher as the lecturer. He kept making jokes about Economics. I never really expect that Economics will be fun. The mass lecture, which was conducted by my form teacher, was too fast for me. The introductory lecture.... let's not talk about that.. haha.
As I said, today was rather a tiring day, since we only have one one-hour break after PE. I had just realised today that, with only 5 minutes allowance of being late in the lectures, how are we people going to squeeze in visits to the loo? Hope that I can figure out the solution a.s.a.p. *lol*
Anyway, hopefully everything that I'm planning to do tomorrow will go as planned....

Food Adventure
I had lunch in Grand Hyatt with my Mom. Before you start thinking of how nice the food in Hyatt should be, the opposite actually occurs. Firstly, we chose the wrong restaurant. I thought that the restaurant we're eating in are supposed to have international buffet. Wrong idea. The buffet contains local food ONLY *cries* The confusion started when I noticed that there are no chocolate cakes. It's all kueh and some bubur kacang and ice kacang. *sigh* Guess what's the price of the buffet? $40 per person (which has already included plus plus). My first reaction is "What the...."
So the person in the counter suggested us to visit the mezzanine at the top floor to see the international buffet they have. When I stepped in, I saw the dessert and chocolate cake counter first *shrieks* and then we proceeded to the counter. Guess what's the buffet price for a person? dum di dum. $100++. *faints* Right place but wrong price. It includes free flow of champagne. I think that's why it's so expensive.
If you're beginning to think that I'm crazy for going round Hyatt looking for a place to eat, well all I can say for the moment is, it's for my research in preparation for *_ _* *_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _** _ _ _ _ _*. (Jes, your favourite game *lmao*) 3 words.
The only thing that I'll ever want to eat in Hyatt is the Afternoon Tea meal, which contains all the yummy chocolate cakes and some sweet tooth food. Hopefully I'll get to eat it soon.. hehe.
By the way, the Vienna Chocolate Cake in Coffee Club Express is very very very yummy. It's a great competitor with my beloved Cidele Truffle Cake. You must try them both if you got the chance ;)
Nothing about Joaquin yet so far, Steph =P

Another entry for today.. hmm.
The profile of a movie aficionado:
- I love independent, foreign and small-budget movies
- I love dramas (not that other drama)
- I'm very emotional and so tend to cry in movies (halo, I cried watching Doreamon's movie version when I was small *lol*)
- My maximum boredom quota is about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours (I derived this through watching "The Aviator", which thankfully was saved by Leonardo DiCaprio's performance. No more Martin Scorscese movies please!)
Disclaimer:
When one of my handsomes (or many) star in a movie, my review might be biased *lol*
-------
Here we go, the reviews of movies (in theatre or dvds) that I've watched this year so far:
1. The Constant Gardener (7.0 stars out of 10)
As the movie ends, you'll realise how touching this movie is ^^ I almost cried... Ehm, I don't really get why some people said that Rachel Weisz's performance is very fantastic and that she should won Oscar for it. Maybe it's only me.
2. In Her Shoes (7.5/10)
I like how well funny moments and 'boring' moments are interweaved in this movie, making it not boring at all. Some touching moments too. I cried, but the reason is obviously shown in the movie.
3. Good Will Hunting (9.0/10)
Some people might find some parts of the movie boring. Nevertheless, when I judged the movie wholly, it's very inspiring and marvelous. Some funny moments in the movie. After watching this movie, I realised that One Hour Photo was not the first movie where Robin Williams took a serious role *pokes at my brother* I cried terribly at the end...
4. The Intepreter (6.0/10)
So-so plot. More of action-driven than I expected. I previously thought that it'd be a dramatic movie.
5. Memoirs of a Geisha (7.0/10)
Better than I expect it. Most reviews that I had read gave it 3.0/5. Zhang Ziyi's accent is okay. I didn't laugh throughout the movie (I'd most probably laugh in Walk The Line). Gong Li's performance is wonderful. However, I seriously thought that the cinematography can be so much better. They should employ the cinematographer for Hero and House of Flying Daggers *lol*
-------
Ok, that's a very very long entry. There are some dvds that I'd still like to watch soon, though I think I won't be able to watch some of them while my Mom is here. These include Talented Mr. Ripley (ImDb says some nudity) and Leon The Professional (violence and drugs).
*sigh* Gotta wake up early tomorrow..
Lessons learnt today...
2. Never go home from Takashimaya through the path near the Taxi Stand
I hate rainy season.....
Short-term Resolutions
Anyway, here are the resolutions:
1. Reduce my thighs' size through exercising (40% progress)
2. Learn how to wear heels (50% progress)
3. Attend both Oasis and Franz Ferdinand concert (50% progress... unless there are unseen circumstances..)
4. Adapt to my class and enjoy theatre (30% progress...)
I hope to fulfil 1 and 2 by my birthday *lol*. 4, by March hopefully. I really really want to be able to enjoy Drama to its best, regardless all the upcoming tiring rehearsals. There are some nice people in Theatre too, which is a plus point.
I'm waiting for my mother's tickets now...... Can't wait to go out to town...

First
My school day today was rather weird. Somehow, I thought that I'm actually not that close to any of the OG members. I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing. I have to admit that I'm thankful for not being too close to one or two of them *lol*. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to having a good time with 1AA1 :D
Tomorrow will be a rather busy day. Mom's coming back tomorrow too... better vacuum clean the house tomorrow morning....
