Short Road

Helloz. So, 2 days ago was the Maroon 5 concert. Though it was fantastic, but for the amount I paid for the tickets ($187), I really expected moree. The show was rather short (75 minutes) and the band didn't really move much in their concert :( And so for most of the pictures I took of them, I have the same expressions ahhaaha. I'm grateful that before the concert, I made a last minute decision to buy a 55-250 mm lens (which can shoot a longer distance compared to standard lens). I wasn't sure until then whether I should wait for my Mom to buy it (though I have begun researching for the lens price in Sim Lim and Funan). Now I'm so grateful that I made the right decision :) Well we sat close, but not close enough for a nice shot using a standard lens. I brought 2 cameras to the concert, one my old camera (with videos) and the other one my DSLR. Thankfully the security was not that strict about cameras. Phew. Anyway, Adam Levine looks exactly like how he looks like in photos hahaha. Thankfully the band wasn't wearing tuxedos and Adam didn't have that irritating hairstyle of his hahaha. 80% of the close up pictures are of Adam O_O lol cos he was the only one to move the most! The close up photos have been marked to avoid some random people taking off for their own use without my permission (and these pictures' quality has been saved at a lower quality for the blog purpose). If you would like a copy of the clean version of the pictures, please email me :)

( I like this picture the most.. but it's sadly overexposed :( )

Well for most of the other days, I'm mostly busy volunteering for Singapore International Film Festival. OMG the job as a courrier can be a killer at times.. I'm physically tired (and the weather doesn't help at all). Now.. all thanks to horrible weather yesterday I'm having running nose sigh. Thank goodness it happens after the concert. Can't wait to see the movies I've bought the tixs for to see... especially I'm Not There (Christian Bale!!) :D :D

Tonight I'll Forget Everything

Today was interesting. I went to the Church of the Risen Christ for the first time, since it had the earliest Holy Thursday mass, with my Mom. Oh my gosh... it's the most high tech church I've ever been to O_O Nobody was given mass and hymn books. Everyone just watched the slides on several walls of the church.. and read the words from the slides haha so cool! Somehow it reminds me of AC chapel hahaah is that a bad thing?

Then in the evening I went to Tisch Asia for open house. So fuuuuun! We get to see some of the rooms (eg soundstage, projection room), though most of the areas are still a work in progress. Before visiting the school, I was really considering joining the summer class on directing that will be organised by the school from May. But after visiting the school and learning more about the summer class, I figured that I will more likely join the next year programme. Some of the facilities are not ready yet! And.. if I take the directing course, I'll also have to take the writing and directing part 2 course to get a certificate of filmmaking (if I take the part 1 only, I'll only get a certificate of completion). So, in the long run, I have to add in the writing and directing part 2 course to the total cost. Sighhh. The part 1 course already cost about USD $5000. Yes. Go figure the total cost!

So the past 3 weeks in Singapore has gone quite fast surprisingly. I have been volunteering (for 3 days thus far.. more to come next week)... and slacking hahaha. I really hope that when I cancel my student pass eventually the immigration will at least issue 2 months of social pass for me haha. Sigh at least I can hope!

I so need to begin memorising Maroon 5 songs O_O

Quicksand

I hate that sinking into the sand feeling.. like I just want to hide from this surface of the earth. I can sort of imagine myself sitting on top of the dense metal chair, being suck into the sand.

Have not felt that way for quite a long time. It's a feeling that I want to keep myself from.

Wow.. 3 Months

It's been agesss since I last updated this blog haha. Oh well, I'm spending my last few days of my Hong Kong trip now.. since Friday is the 'A' Level results day! *shrieks in horror* Well, I guess the results are rather overdue, when compared to the trend of the last few years. Better to get it over and done with. I'm actually looking forward to meeting some people who I haven't seen for ages on Friday hahaha.

Well, my life of late has been okay. As I may have said previously, my life in Indo was getting pretty mundane (especially when that thing called love turns out to be elusive haha). Most of my last few days there were filled with playing of Final Fantasy X, which sadly I didn't manage to complete haha (I'll be back to finish it!).

Hmm I'm hoping to get a job in Singapore for March and April, or at least do some volunteer work haha. Or else spending most of March and April alone in Singapore may become a drag hahaha. I've gone to several websites to look for job vacations hahah (at least of the places where I will want to work at). Kinokuniya is out.. since it's like 6 months commitment. HMV... no job vacation at the moment :( :( Starbucks... it seems prospectful.. though not sure of the commitment period. Golden Village, Gramophone and Borders... same cases. I saw a vacation for Fashion Stylist of Topshop hahahah... no I'll suck at that. So far those are the ones that I have seen... I'm hoping to look out for more.

I soo want to see some of the movies out now in theatres haha. I want to see Diving Bell, No Country and Away From Her. I want to see No Country the most haha. I still from time to time think about There Will Be Blood... because it's a show that far exceeds my expectation haha. "I drink your milkshake!" *slurps* hahaah sorry thinking about that line always makes me giggle.

Last night I had this random thought about my photography instructor going, "Since for most of our lessons we shoot women, why don't u try taking pictures of topless men?" I can't remember my reaction back then, but last night I thought I'd much prefer men in suits lol. Hey, if Michel Gondry says women can look sexier in T-shirt than naked, why couldn't I say men can look sexier in suits than topless/naked? Hahaha.
