Cereals and Milk

This week school is normal. I think the funniest day will be during Jocelyn's birthday, when Serene, Sabrina, Nas, Peggy and I presented her some presents, including bananas hahahaha. Well, she loves bananas. On each banana (except one), each of us write a message for her lol. So funny!

On Thursday evening, I found last year's Jake Gyllenhaal's interview in Ellen DeGeneres show. It's sooo amusing haha. I regretted not downloading it from interviewsrus.com last time. (Sadly, that website has been locked down by its admins). Here's the link to the clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH1ptcykFos

Friday was normal to me, except the evening. During the afternoon, I lent Kumar my Chemistry book. He returned it to me during the Drama rehearsal, and I left it in the hall and went to Orchard. Oh great! Thankfully drama ended early that day, so at least I was still bothered to go back to school to retrieve it (and for the sake of my Chemistry test on Thursday too). It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to go to school and back to Orchard. Sigh, such a waste of time!!

Yesterday was pretty fun. In the morning, I went for photoshooting. Waking up for photoshooting was a pretty tedious process. I woke up at 7.30, and it was pretty cloudy. I woke up at about 8.30, and the situation seemed to be worse, and so I kind of give up hope. Not sure why, but my Mom wake me up on 10 o'clock and 11 o'clock haha. When she woke me up at 10 o'clock, I can't be bothered to check the window. Then at 11 o'clock, after telling her that my photoshooting plan was off, I checked the window, and there it is, blue cloudless sky hahahahahhahah. And so I decided to go Bugis to do shooting there. Some of the shots turned out nice. In Bugis I also noticed the DHL giant air balloon hahahah so cute. When taking a bus from Bugis to City Hall, I realised how close Bugis is to City Hall by bus haha. Then in the evening, I went out with Emmalyne, Wan Joo, Esther and Li Min. We ate at Marche and did some sightseeing in Heeren.

I can't believe that I mistook the date for Ladder 49 showing in Star Movies. I thought it was supposed to be today, and so was planning to go Steph's house to watch. It turned out to be yesterday hahahaha. Anyway, at least I can still catch it next time.

Have a happy holiday people. Take care and later!

Mass Indulgence

Gahh... I'm feeling so full and sick right now. My mom and I have just had a chocolate buffet in Fullerton Hotel. Some of the stuff are nice, while others are not. Let me tell you the best stuff that I had there. It's the bread and butter pudding (bolden and italicised for the purpose of emphasising haha). And so, I managed to start the buffet and end it with a portion of bread and butter pudding each (by the way, it wasn't done intentionally hehe). I wonder how my Father will react when my Mother tell him about us having this buffet. I can imagine him joking, "Sigh, both of you, mother and daughter, are the same.." (In Indo: Ampun, Mak dan anak sama! hahaha) Anyway, at the end of the buffet, I was really feeling sick of chocolate haha (I wonder if this buffet will have an unforeseen side effect, which is giving up the consumption of chocolate for a temporary period hehe). After the buffet, we took a walk around. Fullerton is a really nice hotel! I really do wish someday I could at least spend a night there :D Then during the weekend I can go down to the chocolate buffet in pyjamas to have some chocolates and a glass of hot chocolate. Enough chocolate-y talk I guess. I'm quite sick of chocolate at the moment.. hehehe (As a chocoholic, I'm really reluctant of saying that.. hehe)

I feel so sinful for the amount of chocolates that I have just consumed. Anyway, it's for dinner! Haha. (trying to make herself feel better...)

Let me have a recap of the happenings for the past week. The Holy Week turned out really good. The only thing that I felt lacking last week is a proper Good Friday mass. My Mom and I went to the Indonesian mass. First of all, it didn't have Stations of the Cross (which I think helps to set the mood of the mass properly). And the Gospel reading was really weird! The audience didn't have to participate at all.. and we were sitting throughout the whole Gospel reading. So different from the usual English Good Friday mass haha. Anyway, after the mass, I went out with Jessica Tognetto. I really do miss her, though sometimes we tend to have different points of view of things hehe.

During the weekend, I watched Chicago (which I taped on Wednesday) and Everything Is Illuminated (both are reviewed below). Both of the movies are nice in their own ways. I enjoy Chicago more though. I'm planning to purchase its DVD hehe. I wonder why it is rated M18 in Singapore. In America it was rater PG-13. Nothing racy in the television broadcast, hopefully the television didn't cut out anything, like what they did to American Beauty (I only found that out after doing some research in the Internet hehe).

This week wasn't really that bad actually, except that I lacked sleep this week. On the average, I got about 5 hours of sleep each night. If not for the vitamins and royal jelly I took (courtesy of my Mom), I think I would have fallen sick or fainted in school haha. At least I didn't lose my temper or anything, and nothing spoilt my day (well, there's a thing that almost did this, but I managed to keep my cool =) Oh ya, and lots of tests this week. Maths, Geog, Chinese and GP. The Geog test is a killer. Actually, the questions are not that hard. Just that, I've jumbled out the facts that I had memorised the previous day, and so I wasn't doing the paper well. Sighhh.. information overload. I better start organising the Geography facts out...

I went for drama four out of the five school days this week. It's quite okay actually hehe.

Yesterday was J1s parents welcome tea. My mom went for it and met my form teacher. The previous night, I had warned my Mom that my form teacher would surely mention to her about my latecoming habit hahaha. And she sure did! Lol. Anyway, my Mom suggests that I should wake up earlier so that I can reach school earlier, so that I can please my form teacher. My first reaction was, "hahaha". Then she said, "Just treat her like your boss!" More Hahahaha from me. Anyway, I'll take her advice seriously ;) (my Mom's I mean.)

Today I went out with Jessica Lo. Ahhh so long never see you already Jess! We ate at Bakerzin (It's soo nice!) and then we took a neoprint. Lots of catching up between both of us. Thanks for the goodies Jess!! *hugs* Must meet again soon okay darling? ;)

I got a shock of my life when I saw gigantic pictures of Jude Law in the Dunhill shop in Paragon. He looks brooding there. He doesn't look that fantastic and looks more matured there, but still he's pretty yummy =)

I'd like to watch a DVD tomorrow. I'd love to relax tomorrow haha.

The 'Amazon Forests' have grown dense enough. Time for 'deforestation'... (note the plurals.. haha, it's not the real Amazon forests. I do not support real deforestation)

Have a nice weekend peeps. Later =)

Movie Reviews

Chicago (8.0 stars out of 10)
An enjoyable, entertaining movie. Great dancing and performance by Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta Jones. I thought Renee's acting is especially good. I hate her character, and yet, not sure why, I also sympathised her haha. (To Steph: Richard Gere looks like Richard Gere haha). I love the cinematography of this picture as well. The Oscar for that category was really well-deserved. By the way, my Mom seems to be interested of watching this movie after listening some songs from the movie hahaha. This movie is a must for musical fans.

Everything is Illuminated (7.0 stars out of 10)
The movie really starts well, however its ending was a bit slow, and yet tragic and twisted in some sense. *spoilers ahead* I never expected the narrator of the story to be the Ukranian guy in the show. I thought it's Elijah Wood haha *spoiler ends here*

Butterflies and Hurricanes

Hello, so no more schooling for this week with the coming Easter holiday. So happy. At last a long holiday after quite a long time. I have just got back from Church. The mass suprisingly went smoothly and pleasantly. Not too many people. Not as crowded as the Good Friday mass thankfully. And then, I had a dinner in Spize. Nasi Pattaya and Plain Roti Prata. Going to Spize really reminds me of the days that Mos, Stephanie Ng and I spent there eating dinners. Ah, those days! Oh, and then for the first time in my life, I tried Milo Dinosaur haha. I found it's like a normal milo, just that it comes in a huge mug with lots of Milo powder on the top. I wonder Milo Godzilla looks like haha. Since tomorrow is Good Friday, I will have to abstain and fast for a day. For abstainance, I'm planning to do on Chocolate (ahahahah). Hopefully I won't repeat the same mistake I made last year. Last year, I made the promise the day before Good Friday to abstain from Chocolate. And then, on Good Friday, for breakfast, I ate Koko Crunch hahahah.. forgetting that Koko Crunch is chocolate. Only when I went to the mass then I realised hahaha. Silly me. Well, as much as I'd like to abstain from Internet, I think it'll be difficult at this period of time haha.

On Sunday, since I had a day to myself, I watched the Talented Mr. Ripley (it's reviewed below). It's good, though the ending feels incomplete to me. Oh yaaaa, Jude Law is really really really handsome there hahahahah. Without any intention of seeing it in the movie, there's a scene of his bum hahahah. Anyway, bums will always be bums.

Monday evening was horrendous. I went for the Students' Council interview, and it was horrid. The questions they asked were really difficult to answer, and they kept telling me that I seemed not to know what I was getting into by joining the student council. One of the coucillor interviewers even asked me to name at least 5 events that the Councillors have organised this year (I managed to name 4 haha). And then the teacher-in-charge of Councillors even asks me about my aspiration of becoming Crew Manager in Drama. Hey, in the form they expected you to form the aspiration for the respective CCA. I can't just put Member there right haha. Anyway, she asked me whether I'd be able to cope if I ever become a Crew Manager. Hahaha... I don't think I'll be holding that job next year. I know a strong candidate for the job.. and I'm sincerely happy for that person =) Anyway, guess what's the last question? Will you quit Drama for Councillor? I was stuck and confused. At that spot, I said "Yes". But now I'm doubting whether that should be the answer. I almost broke down during the interview. The interviewers really GRILLED you with the questions... At least that was what some other candidates that went for the interview felt...

Oh my goodness, yesterday I was really blur. Emmalyne and I wanted to go to town yesterday. And so we waited for 105, 106 or 111 to come. And then I saw 105 and 111 from afar and was really excited. Since 105 was in front, we decided to board the bus. After boarding we sat and watched a bit of TV Mobile. When the bus stopped on the next stop, I saw a bus in front of our bus. It's 105. "What the heck...?" I thought, "Are we boarding the correct bus?" Because the next 105 couldn't have come that fast hahaha. And so Emmalyne went to ask the bus driver. We found out that.. the bus we were taking was.... 100 hahahahahahhahahahahah. Both of us are sooo blurrrrrr. I was really laughing hard after ths whole experience... not sure if it's of agony or amazement. Anyway, in the end we still reached Orchard haha.

I received a message from my Drama senior today asking me whether I want to join Drama Crew for SYF. I'm contemplating my choice. By going for SYF, I'll most probably be forgoing the chance to perform in Guitar Concert in July. Hahaha.. I'm confused now. At the moment, I'm leaning more towards SYF. I'll make my decision tonight before I sleep.

Oh yaa, yesterday I found out from Serene that my eyecandy join Golf hahahah. And so, Serene and him are in same CCA. I was surprised that he joined Golf. He was previously in Basketball. And, adding to my surprise, he had received prior training to Golf hahaha. LOL.

Yesterday, my Mom returned from Indonesia. Ahhh.. so happy to see her. Haven't seen her for ages. I really want to hug her hahahah. Oh ya, she had brought the guitar. And Cinemags of course and some CDs... and guess what? Batman DVD! Ahhhhh!!! So happy. Sadly, the CD 2 got stuck in my CD-ROM hahaha. It's so silly of me to think that my computer can play DVD without DVD-Rom. Anyway, I'll think of something to open the thing haha. Hopefully.

Anyway, happy Easter to those who celebrates. Have a happy weekend and bye bye.

Movie Review
The Talented Mr Ripley (7.0 out of 10 stars)
Superb acting from the cast overall, especially Matt Damon and Jude Law. Matt Damon's character, Tom Ripley, was a psycho and compulsive. I just hate his character haha. Jude Law's acting... was good as well. The Oscar nomination for Jude was well-deserved. Besides being extremely handsome there, there's this sense of popularity and charisma in his character. The story gets draggy towards the end though. The ending, as I've said above, is incomplete. There's just something lacking to make the story a full round circle. Anyway, great movie.

Maybe Tomorrow

Today was great. In the afternoon I went to watch the Tempest with some of my ACJC friends. While doing front house duty yesterday night, I managed to catch the last half of the show. However, after watching the whole show properly today, I get more of the story. Yesterday, the story really seems like a blur. It's like, "who's that and that?" haha.

After watching the Tempest, I went home to rest for a while (and retrieved my handphone which I forgot to take to the Tempest.. haha life feels strange without handphone, especially when I needed to contect Steph Ng about something.. which you'll find out later :). And then, I went to watch Inside Man (which is reviewed below) with Steph Ng in the new Cathay. Yayyyy! At last I managed to watch something in the new building. Anyway, the building's still basically empty haha. Everywhere it says "Coming soon..." hahaha. "Coming soon Cheers", "Coming soon Ben and Jerry's Cafe (yayness!)", "Coming soon Yaka Toasts" and so on. Since it was already evening, I didn't really take a proper look at the building. It's quite nice. But it'll be so much more alive after the shops have opened.

I can't wait to slack tomorrow. I'll be having the whole day to myself. Hopefully I'll be able to watch a DVD at least tomorrow (Talented Mr. Ripley?). Oh ya, repeat telecast of Lost Season Two's first 3 episodes tomorrow. Hooray! And.. the big match between Arsenal and Man Utd tomorrow, which I think I'll tape haha.

Nite nite and later people :)

Movie Review
Inside Man (7.5 stars out of 10)
First of all, I'd like to say that I'm really really glad that the censored dialogues in the movie are not as bad as how it seems to be looking at the complaint in Straits Times' Life a few days ago. What's with the suggestion that refunds should be given to those who have watched the show? Ridiculous. Anyway, I love the dialogues in this movie. I thought that this movie will be mainly actions and drama. Never expected to have a number of humourous dialogues in it haha. I didn't feel bored for 2 hours and 10 mins. There are some parts which will make you go "Ooo.." and "Aaah.." The pace of the movie was a bit draggy towards the end though. The movie's plot is really smart. A brilliant movie overall. By the way, I don't know why after watching that movie I keep thinking of Clive Owen haha. He's handsome for an old man. I'll definitely be adding him to my favourite old men's list haha. And Steph is right, his voice's kinda hot too hahaha.

Down, down, down

Great, I've spent so much money trying to run for Students' Council...

$5 for the nomination form (which I went to get innocently)
$6 for the passport photos required
$0.50 for photocopying some of the necessary documents

And... I really do think that I'll have slim chance of a success. Here are the things which I didn't manage to get for the form.. or forgot to submit together with the form..:

1 extra IC-sized photograph
Signature from CCA teacher (who are busy with the Tempest this whole week)
Signature from a Student Councillor (this can be proven crucial. However, I seriously do not know any of them. None of my Orientation Group Leaders is a councillor. What am I supposed to do?)

All this with the pathetic write-up of myself. I had troubles writing it. What should I write? Some of my hobbies which I think have no relevance to running of Students' Council? Some skills like photography or singing? What should I write? In the end I write some crap =( I really do not know what to write and what exactly are the election committee trying to learn about me from that question...

Oh my, may the force be with me... =P

Let me do recap of the things that have gone through in my life. Oh, by the way, I failed my ACS Idol audition haha. Kinda expect it, since I didn't practice much. However, the thing that most irritates me about the audition is one of the judges, which gave a really pointless advice. While the other two judges said that I underperformed and could have done better, that particular judge told me that I should stick to composing songs (a skill which I mention in the entry form). What the heck is she thinking? Actually after the second judge had finished his remarks, I was about to leave, when I realised that the last judge, the irritating one, hasn't spoken. So much for the energy to come back.

I had a great time barbecue-ing in Stephanie's house on Saturday evening. Thank you so much Steph for the great time. We did really catch up with a lot of things, after not seeing each other for about 2 weeks haha (hey, that's a long period for me haha).

This week has been terrible that I'm soooo glad that it has come to an end (schoolwise at least).
I don't know why this whole week was really depressing for me. There are some days where I was irritated with some people. It's either my level of patience are somewhat decreasing, or those people are getting irritating. Sadly, some of the people are my closest friends. I wonder what's so wrong with me. Lack of sleep? Tired? Stress? Anyway, Tuesday was a horrific day for me. I hate the fact that some people really like making fun of that day to me. I know that it can be really funny to some people, but to me, it's humiliating. It's madly humiliating. If anyone ever mentions that accident to me again, at least they know why I'll give them a cold shoulder. Monday and Wednesday was quite a blur. All I can remember about Wednesday is me being irritated by a classmate of mine, who also annoys me on Tuesday. I guess she has no idea how annoying she can be. I just realise it on Wednesday too. Anyway, Thursday I was soooo irritated by this girl from another class who is in the same Economic class for me. I do not know that there is an Economics homework that must be done, and so me and a group of people were sent to library to complete it as much as we could with the leftover time. Then in the library, as we shared a table, this girl keeps standing up and bending on the table while noisily talking to 2 other people of the group. I got so p***ed off that I just stormed off and got my iPod, and listened to it. If not, my emotions would have exploded. Anger management huh? Hahha... I think Nasa darling, my classmate who was quietly doing the homework as well, could see I was quite annoyed haha..

Oh, and I don't know why I'm kinda not really use to the nick Bo Bice anymore..

Anyway, at least today was really funny. First of all, I saw my eyecandy twice today. Yayness! Haha. Last week, I only saw him twice =( And before today, I last saw him on Tuesday. Sigh, I saw him so few times. Never mind, the less I see him, the more I'll treasure those sightseeing moments hahaha. Today, as I entered Staff Room to return the attendance book, I found out what happenes when you click the name of a teacher on the computer paging system in front of the staff room. A computer system inside the Staff Room will call out the name of the teacher that is clicked on the computer. So today, it goes "Dr. Hashim Ali". Soo.. at that moment I realise the whole process. And then, the silly guy clicking the name clicked "Dr Hashim Ali" too many times at a go. And the computer system goes "Dr. Dr. Dr. Hashim Ali". Ahahahahahahahahah the whole episode is so funny that as I went out of the Staff Room, I was smiling like mad. 20 mins later at the end of my break, I was still thinking about it hahaha. Oh ya, during Maths class, I received an amusing SMS from Serene about her EC. Hahahhaah it's sooo funny that it reminds me of my secret moments with my EC as well ahahah (which until now, only my secretkeeper knows ;)

Sigh, however this evening, while doing something, I realise that some people in this world are not that nice really. Today, in a conversation during a bus ride to Orchard, Nasa said to another friend," haha, you're talking to a sweet person." She was refering to me I know that, but am I that sweet? Hahahahahhahaah ^^ Sometimes I think I'm too naive and obedient. Oh my oh my, about wearing uniform skirts in school, I'm honestly one of those person who can't be bothered to wear my uniform's skirt short.

As long as you don't tell me straight that I should wear my skirt shorter, I won't comment on your 'mini' skirt. Hahaha...

Today's morning assembly's devotion message is something which I quite like actually. Hmm. If you did something for a purpose, and you're criticised for that action of yours, reflect on your action. Does the action fulfils the purpose that you have set? If yes, ignore the criticism and the public opinions. Public opinions can be fickle.

I can really relate to that ^^ can you?

I feel so guilty of forgetting to go church last weekend...

Have a great weekend people. Take care and later :)

P.S. I can't wait to see Chicago on Channel 5. I want to watch Talented Mr. Ripley too hehe

Identity Crisis

I've been really struggling with my identity and sexuality lately. There are so many pretty girls in the school. I think I am bi-sexual. There's this new girl in my class whom I think is really sexy. Her name is Teri. Beautiful, leggy. When i talk to her, my heart really beats faster. Not really sure why. Love? Hopefully she's single as well. I wonder if she's single, cause a girl as pretty as that should already have a companion...

I know what impact this news can bring on my friends. I really hope that you'll still accept me as a friend. I won't be surprised if you're really shocked, but please, do still treat me as your friend....

I'm scared..

Later.

Hahahahahahha... you've been fooled! it's April Fool's day! Despite the fact that I like hugging girls and airkissing girls, I AM VERY MUCH STRAIGHT. I'm too contented of looking at my handsomes. For girls, if a girl is beautiful, I'll just say she's pretty. FULL STOP. I think Nicole Kidman's pretty and a good actress. FULL STOP. My handsomes are really too hot for me to resist hehe...

Ehm.. I choose the name Teri because of my nick (to some people ^^) Toli hahahahaha. Teri sounds like Toli right?

Oh by the way, there's one line in the joke which is taken from a Jake Gyllenhaal interview? Any idea which one? ^^

One nice picture of Jake I found today (courtesy of a research with stephanie ng..) -picture taken from iheartjakemedia.com-

Happy April Fools Day!

Later, and Good night!

Thursday

Bummer, I forgot to write something (again) in the last entry. I watched V for Vendetta on Saturday with Chen and Alim. It was good and entertaining! (it's reviewed below) We caught a 9.35 pm show. It's the first time in a really really long time that I catch such a late show (the last time I catch a late movie was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, which began at 10.00 pm). Anyway, it was a fun outing :)

And so, what have I been up to lately? I'm now considering of quitting drama totally or just putting it under inactive status temporarily. I'm confirmed that I'll join Guitar. Actually, there is rather a sign that I should quit drama haha. Yesterday I intended originally to go for Guitar sectional, and so I didn't bring any black pants or t-shirt for Drama. I found out only in the afternoon that it had been cancelled. And so, in the end, I went to Drama. I went to buy artificial flowers with Aaron, and so managed to get away from seniors' scolding for not wearing blacks. Well, sort of. After coming back to school, some of my seniors sternly told me to wear in blacks. And then, one of them just said, "If you intend to stay in Drama, you may as well invest in blacks. You'll also need blacks for a possible Tempest crew duty you know?" Then, another senior said "But ____ (a J2 who's very nice) is only taking some first intake people.." Hmph.. so I'm not a first intake? I think she remembers me from a previous meeting? Or does she really forget? Anyway, I'm fine with that senior. I don't really like the first one. She's really intimidating, and she can be quite proud at times. Anyway, so does the above incident a sign that I should quit Drama completely?

The process of purchasing artificial flowers was kinda weird haha. On the way back to school, we met some ACJC people. And most of them were looking at the flowers, which Aaron was carrying hahaha. Hopefully they don't get the wrong idea. Honestly, I cannot see myself going far with him. Just friends :)

I have some photo ideas which I hope to carry out during the weekends. Pray that the weather would be really kind to me :)

Bummer again, I found out that the audition for ACS Idol has been postponed from this Friday to this Saturday. So much for thinking much of whether going to the audition or the Topshop runway show haha. At least the Topshop runway show's tickets are sold out. Which leave me with no other choice haha. Nice, relaxed Friday tomorrow, filled with cramming of lyrics haha.

I found out from my reliable source (hahahah...) that my eyecandy is not in the class I thought he was in. Hahaha.. guess I saw the wrong person in the name lists.

Updates soon, and later.

Movie Review
V for Vendetta (7.0 out of 10)
A movie that has a lot of charisma to it. Impressive dialogues, superb fighting sequences (though as some of it are really brutal, I have to look down the screen haha) and a solid plot as well. I really never thought I'll cry watching this movie hahaha. And I really never thought that the movie will be this good. Thanks to this movie, the 1812 Overture is stuck in my head haha. Interestingly, 2 hours and 15 mins doesn't feel that long.

Monday, March 27, 2006

Oops..

On the last entry, I forgot to write that last Monday, I tried a Topshop black balloon skirt with my school uniform. And oh my, it turns out really good hahahaha. I never thought that such thing could happen ^^ Then I went to Mango and tried some white shorts there. Ehm.. I think shorts are definitely out of my league now... I don't look that good in shorts haha.

Anyway, last Thursday was so-so. After school, I went to Holland Village to do some catching up with Nathania. She seemed very happy and chatty on that day :) I really had a great time talking to her. Hopefully I'll see her again soon :)

Friday.. all I could think of is Drama until 9. Though I ate chicken rice at about 4.30 pm, I was hungry again by the time drama ended, and so I ate Burger King's Mushroom Double Meal. Yummy haha. I found 2 classmates who are joining Drama. They have no prior experience in Drama, like me! One is joining Costume department, while the other one would like to do acting.

Speaking of Drama, I've decided to quit after the Tempest. I am going to join Guitar Ensemble. As much as I'd like to join Photography as well, I can't, as the schedule of Guitar clashes with Photography on Wednesday. Oh well, I could still do photography outside school :)

I saw my eyecandy twice today. Ahh soo happy. First, during the house meeting in the morning. He was in the same Orientation Group as me, and so of course he is in the same house as me =D And then, before my Maths lecture started, I saw him as well. I was really early for my Maths lecture, and then I saw him sitting at the back of the lecture theatre. I have not seen him quite close for a long time haha. So, that explains my ecstasy ;)

The tickets to the Topshop Unique runway have sold out. It's perfectly fine really :) It somehow clears more of the path to my singing audition on Friday. Do wish me luck :)

Later.

Burnt Out

I feel so burnt out right now. Tired. Physically. Not mentally though, thankfully. If I could just rot to the ground right now, I would actually. I can be fertile soil haha.. joking. I used to lose my patience easily when I was tired. Not anymore, thankfully. I'm still gripping tight my sanity ;) 2 more weeks to production, then hopefully all of these would ease. Haha, hopefully. A drama friend of mine in our conversation told me that there may be another production coming up after this one. Oh my, oh my, I can really die if there's another one coming up that early. I need a BREAK. I need to catch up in my study. And most of all, I need SLEEP. ZzZzZzZz. Anyway, I'm considering of really quitting after the production. I hope to work things out this weekend. Fingers crossed that everything will be planned out well.

So let's have a recap of this week. Ehm, ehm. So, school had started yet again. I found out on Friday that I was going to stay in my old class. I was happy to find out Jocelyn would be in the same class, but not Serene and Sabrina :'( I really miss Sabrina especially. I seldom have classes together with her, and I miss Gerano too haha. At least, I still have lots of classes with Serene, my beloved darling haha. My new classmates are okay. Just that some of them are not as approachable as my old classmates. Since some of them already have cliques, the class is kinda disunited from the start. Until now, the problem has not been really resolved. Some classmates of mine seldom join the class for meal together during breaks. Sigh. Hopefully this problem will be solved soon. Note: No drama meeting on Monday.

Tuesday was a special day. It's my Mother's Birthday :D I feel bad for forgetting about her birthday in the morning. Only after a teacher announced a meeting for some club on the next day, 22 March, during the morning assembly that I realised it was 21 March on Tuesday. Hahaha. At least I smsed her to wish her happy birthday first. After drama meeting that night (which ended at 8.15 pm), I went to buy some slices of cake from Bread Talk. Chocolate Marble. It was good. And some candles also hahaha. While preparing for the blowing of candles in my house, my Mother told me she hadn't blown birthday candles for ages. I only realised that at that moment. Hahaha. And so, as my Mom had washed of her make-up, she went to put it again. While waiting for her, I bathed and changed my tops for some picture together with her using one of the tops I bought in Hong Kong :D And I wore a pair of earring, whose one side my Mom would lost the next day.. (It's soo nice. It was an accidental lost. Can't do anything. At least I got to wear a pair the day before haha.. my Mom loves it too.) Here is one nice picture :) With my beloved tripod..

*narcism ahead* I think I'm quite pretty in that picture hahahaha :D

Wednesday doesn't have any significant event (except the loss of earrings..) I don't know why there was this statement in my head on that day which I'd really like to put in my blog..

Sometimes you think you're ready for a situation, and yet when you're facing it, you realise that you're actually not.

Well, I could really relate to that statement well.

About Thursday and Friday.. I'll write tomorrow :)

A Lack Of Colour

And so, with the holiday coming to an end, I'm back in Singapore. The past 3 days had been great. Guess what, after rambling about my thigh and bulging stomach on Thursday, I managed to shop a lot of tops during Thursday evening in Sham Shui Po. Had only the shops accept retail sale (most of the shops do wholesale, which means I have to purchase a few similar tops at a go), I'd got even more stuff. Nevertheless, I'm really thankful that I manage to get a lot of stuff in this visit to Hong Kong. I think both me and my mom were mad on Thursday night. We arrived back home from Sham Shui Po at about 9.00 pm. Then, as my father was still not back home, we decided to do more shopping in Mong Kok. Hahaha. We took bus there, and finished shopping at about 11.30 pm. We temporarily lost our way back to the bus stop in Mong Kok. In the end, by the time we reached the bus stop, the last bus had left. And so we took a cab back home. Haha.

Friday was okay. My family and I went to the Giant Buddha in Lantau Island. The weather on that day was rather bad. So when we reached the place, we were only able to see the Buddha partially. Most of it was covered by mist. Sigh. I think that the place will look so much nicer on hot, sunny weather. Hopefully on the next visit to Giant Buddha the weather will be better :)

I did nothing much yesterday. I finished watching "Cider House Rules", which I bought and watched the first 45 mins of it on Friday. It was good by the way (the review can be found below). On the airplane, I watched Jarhead! *excited* It was funny. But some parts of it are gross (the review can also be found below). I was kinda scared that my mom, who sat beside me, would catch me watching some gross scenes in the movie. Thankfully, she didn't (I think). She was either sleeping or too engrossed watching Walk The Line. By the way, I saw the ending part of Walk The Line again haha. That means that I have watched the movie 3 times by now. Hahaha. Enough is enough. The meal on the Cathay Airways yesterday was very very nice hahaha. I finished eating the meal... the salad, the main meal, the bread and the mini magnum ice creams of course (okay 2 of them, since my mom didn't eat hers haha). For the main course I chose baked rice, and it's so so nice! hahaha. Seldom in my life that I finished eating airplane meals :)

And so to summarise my spendings during the trip. Ehm..

-Approximately 12 tops (for someone who rarely shops in Singapore, 12 tops over 7 days is kinda a lot :D)
-1 pants (the skirts and the pants are mostly small. I need to reduce my butts' size!! haha)
-1 jacket (hooded one)
-4 bags (diesel, nightmare before christmas, paul frank, and some mulberry-modelled bag haha)
-1 DVD (I didn't buy Traffic in the end, I think my brother had bought it)
-1 Music CD (Walk the Line)
-Some miscellaneous stuff haha.

I think that'll amount to over HK$1000.. hahaha. The tops are mostly about HK$45, which is about S$10.. hehe.

I missed Gangs of New York last night (I didn't know that it's supposed to be on this week). Anyway, I was kinda traumatised by the Aviator. Last week my brother and I talked about movies, and we did discuss about Clint Eastwood and Martin Scorscese movies haha. I told him I'm scared of watching another Scorscese movie after The Aviator haha. He said that Gangs of New York isn't bad. And so actually I planned to catch Gangs of New York on Channel 5. But then I missed it. Steph Ng said it's boring hahaha. And so I'm confused on whether I should see it on DVD. She also said Million Dollar Baby is typical Clint Eastwood movie haha. And so I'm also confused on whether I should see it too. Haha.

So school starts tomorrow. I better start doing my econs essay hehe.

Hope that you enjoy your holiday!

Take care and later.

Movie Reviews
The Cider House Rules (7.5 out of 10 stars)
Nice plot with some touching moments. I have just found out that the movie missed out some parts of the book haha. Anyway, Michael Caine's acting is superb. I really love his character. He's firm but nice. There's this line which he kept saying which is stuck in my head. "Good night you Princes of Maine, you Kings of New England." The way he says it is so nice haha (no, not as seductive as Kiefer's in Intel/Mac ad though haha). There are some funny and touching moments in the movie. You're warned that there are 2 deaths in this picture. I cried in some parts of the movie. I thought that somehow the pairing of Tobey Maguire and Charlize Theron is kinda weird. I really can't imagine them as a couple in real life! haha. But I think the pairing is supposed to be weird for the movie. Tobey's character is more of dorky and naive, while Charlize's very confident. Great movie.

Jarhead (7.5 out of 10 stars)
First of all, there is no biasness to this review, since Jake isn't hot in this movie haha. Anyway, I really never expected this movie to be damn funny. And gross. But again, it's supposed to be a guy-themed movie. So the gross parts can't be helped haha. Some of the scenes and the dialogues are really funny. The front part of the movie is especially funny. I was kind of confused of why this movie has let down many critics' expectations. It's good, but is not the kind for award shows I guess. Before watching the movie, I read that the word f**k was mention 200 something times. It certainly was.

Reminded.

Yesterday, as I shopped around two places in Hong Kong, I'm reminded of two of my closer friends. Never thought that such thing could happen :)

I went to Lai Chi Kok yesterday with my Mom to do some shopping. Lots of nice stuff!!! Sadly, most of the stuff are for small-sized people. Hong Kong girls are generally small-sized and petite. Which means that people who are rather as big-sized as me won't be able to find much nice stuff to buy. At least I bought 4 t-shirts haha. They look so cute. 3 out of 4 are white though. There's one t-shirt which I particularly like. The T-shirt has the picture of a picture which the dog logo of HMV is derived from. Hahaha. Since I'm a big fan of HMV, that t-shirt is a must buy. I also saw some similar outfits and t-shirts which I saw in Causeway Bay two days ago. I believed that the prices for the t-shirts were much cheaper though. I saw a number of shorts in the shopping complex too. AHHH. Sadly, due to my big thighs and butts, I can't find any shorts of my sizes. So sadddd...

Jes Lo, I think if you ever go to this place, you'll be able to find lots of stuff! Udah borong dehhh hahaha.

Later in the evening, me and mom went to a night market in Temple Street. Lots of bargains stuff. Most of the stuff are: sunglasses, watches, antiques, CDs, belts, t-shirts. I bought one CK watch for HK$25 hahahahaa. There's one Christian Dior sunglass which caught my fancy. It's HK$168. My mom said it's expensive for copied goods. Hahaha... what the heck...? So in the end I didn't buy any sunglasses (sorry mrs. kiefer).

I hope that today I can go to more places. The weather's rather fine actually hehe =D

Due to the availability of small outfits only in Lai Chi Kok, I'm more than ever determined to exercise my thighs and butts. And so I plan that, once my Mom get Fitness Mat for both of us, I'll do some exercises for my stomach and thighs. Diets don't work for me anymore, since I don't want to shrink myself even further haha. Hopefully it all will work out *fingers crossed*

Something...

2 days ago, I realised that my HK apartment complex has only 5 buildings, despite having up to Tower 6. So, the towers that exist in my complex is tower 1,2,3,5 and 6. When asked, my father said that 4 in cantonese sounds like the word "death". How interesting.

I went to HMV yesterday to check out some DVDs. Arghh... now I'm kinda sad that I'm not 21 or at least 18 years of age. There are some DVDs that I'd like to get in the future.

1. The Clockwork Orange (which, I read, is overly violent and graphic)
2. Requiem for a Dream (drugs, drugs, drugs and some other graphic sequences too)
3. American Psycho (crazy amount of violence, and some nudity)
4. Traffic (might consider buying, since it's not too wild for my age)

I watched Kill Bill Vol 1 when I was about 15, 2 years ago. I found it rather okay, albeit its rather over-the-top violence. Kill Bill Vol 1 was rated R(A) in Singapore, which I feel is the right rating. I checked in IMDb for rating of the movies above.

1. The Clockwork Orange -banned in 1970s
2. Requiem for a Dream -R(A)
3. American Psycho -R(A)
4. Traffic -M18

Hmm... except for Traffic, I think I'm not ready for the rest of the DVDs yet. Especially Clockwork Orange. I think I'll stick to reading its book first haha. I don't want any more movies that will give me nightmares. There is one part of Crash which gave me nightmare 2 days ago. Weird.

Oh ya, I've bought Walk The Line soundtrack! I've not listened to it yet though. Just did some checking yesterday. The only CD system in my house is the DVD player, which has surround system. Hence, there's no way for me to listen to the CD discretely, without my parents knowing about it. Unless I'm left alone at home. Haha.

I watched the Pianist two days ago, and it was really good. I thoroughly enjoy it :) (It's reviewed below).

I went to Mango yesterday, and there were some nice stuff which I hope to get, whether it's during sale season or not. I saw some nice white shorts! *excited* Yesterday I went to visit this shopping complex, iFC mall, which is located beside the tallest building in Hong Kong, one (or two) iFC tower. I am always confused between the two towers haha.

Why are the Bossini stores in Hong Kong playing Jack Johnson songs? (I've found 3 stores which do so, so far..)

Arghh... yesterday I ate one of the most disgusting things I've ever eaten in my life. Duck's heart. I didn't know that it is duck's heart when I ate it. After finding it hard to chew that my father told me it's duck's heart. DUCK's HEART. I felt like puking on the spot. Duck's heart. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. At least the snake soup (!) in that shop is eatable (I'm can't believe I'm eating my own kind... though honestly I've never liked them haha).
My mom said that eating snake is good for your skin. What the.........? I'd rather eat tons of Avocado and Salmon to have great skin than snakes. Luckily, before the dinner, I bought some bottles of Yakult. And so after the frightful meal, I drank one glass of Yakult. I felt so much better obviously.

I want a sunny weather in Hong Kong!!

Later =)

Movie Review
The Pianist (8.0 out of 10 stars)
I really love the cinematography of this movie! It really really blows me away. Never thought that I'll get a great cinematography from the movie. Adrien Brody's acting was superb. Even though he said only a few words towards the ending of the picture, his actions and expressions really bring great depth to the character. By the way, he looks rather convincing while playing the piano. Does he really learn how to play the piano? I love the pacing of the movie. Despite the length of 2 hours and something minutes, I didn't feel bored in any parts of the show. Great, great movie! Highly recommended.

Clouds

So, it's been 3 days in Hong Kong. And I've done not much yet here. The weather's really bad. It's cloudy all the time, which means no chance of nice photos. Speaking of photography, I better start sketching for a photography concept which I'm working on.

So far, I've bought:
2 T-shirts
1 Black capri pants
1 Hood jacket (which somehow reminds me of Joaquin and his hoodies *lol*)

That's all I think.

Oh ya, how could I forgot to blog more about Saturday. Saturday is great in the sense that it allowed for the first time to travel to Hong Kong by myself. It was a really relaxing experience. Without my Mom around, I was able to leave house early and reached the Airport early to take some pictures. I also went to visit some areas of the Airport which I had never been to before. Anyway, the flight was okay. I sat in the middle between two middle-aged guys. None of them were handsome hahaha. In the beginning of the flight, I felt rather unsafe without a pillow covering my lap. Only after getting a pillow do I felt so much safer. Haha.

Ehm.. to someone who's living in Singapore, if you have Saturday's newspaper, could you keep it for me? There's an article about shopping in Hong Kong which I'd really love to read :)

The weather in Hong Kong is soooo cold. As much as I want to eat ice-cream, the weather will not permit me to do so.

Oh ya, there's a new fashion channel in Hong Kong TV. Have a great time watching it. 24/7 of fashion haha. There are some stuff which I'd like to get if I can..:

Peek-a-boo sandal (the one that has a hole at the toes)
White shorts
Some ruffled tops
Knee-length balloon skirt
Gigantic sunglass (hahaha)

To someone: the sunglasses in Esprit are small, and they're expensive..

The Maroon 5's DVD is great =D Adam is hot, and my brother thinks that their songs sound better LIVE. I really want to see them if they ever come to Singapore in the future (so that I can also take a look if Adam is handsome in real life =D). By the way, in the DVD I noticed that there were much more girls than boys watching the concert. Which means, if I ever go to their concert, I'd have to compete with other girls for the front standing areas eh? Hehe. At least, I'm blessed with a tall height haha.

Imagine the Possibilities

Sorry for the really late update. The tight schedule of drama had prevented me from going online and watching TV much this week. Well, I better start writing about what happened this week in my life.

Monday was kind of a nightmare. I was late for school. I woke up late at about 6.45 am. The taxi was really hard to get that morning. I found that morning really weird. First of all, as I waited for a taxi, I saw two ACJC students in taxi, heading to ACJC I believe. I was helpless, since I was in Crescent uniform then. And then, about 10 mins later, which is about 7.18, a car containing an old couple stopped in front of me. I sincerely feel that it was very nice of them to ask me if I want a lift to Crescent Girls. Haha, too bad I'm already not studying in Crescent. And so I politely decline. And then, 5 mins later, at 7.23, another car stopped in front of me. And guess who it is? It's Mr. Samat. Hahahahahaha. My former Sec 1 and 2 P.E. teacher. He was nice as always. Sadly, he was also heading to Crescent (obviously). By the time I reached school, it was already 7.35 pm. By the way, the taxi I took really flew. Normally, the taxi fare is about $6.00. That morning, it was $5.30. Ironically, at the start of the journey, I thought how sad it was that I had to pay $6 for the taxi fare, and yet I'd still be late for school. How ironic. $0.70 to compensate my latecoming? Anyway, a member of the Discipline Committee stood in front of school gate. About 2 weeks ago, he summoned me to his office to ask some questions about a discipline case in the library (did I write about it here? It didn't affect me in anyway e.g demerit points, detention etc.) Fortunately, he decided not to book the J1s that day, since it's the first day of school after the JAE posting. Phew. I was really scared that I almost cried. He made me promise not to be late again. And so I really made a promise. Seriously speaking, that man wasn't as bad as he usually was when he stood on the school hall's stage after some morning assemblys. I mean what I have just written. And so I approached to the school hall. And then I saw this scary female, old discipline committee member. She asked me and the two J1 boys standing in front of the hall, "All of you are second intake?" Fortunately, that day I wasn't wearing my ACJC badge. And so I nodded my head and joined the second intake people for morning assembly. Phew. Oh ya, before I went it, my form teacher saw me. And, as I expected, she scolded me. Couldn't she see the guilty and frightened look on my face? I really cannot stand her voice! Anyway, as the week progressed, I'll eventually hate her even more. More details in the later part of this journal. After the whole chaotic situation, the day progressed normally. Since I wasn't booked, I didn't have to go for detention and so I was able to go to the first of the 3 Drama meetings this week. I was asked to go IKEA with another backstage drama girl, Hannah, to buy some lanterns. En route, we visited Queensway, since Hannah wanted to get a pair of Adidas shoes. The shoes are really nice! It was really fun.

Oh ya oh ya, how could I almost forgot talking about Oscars? Throughout the whole morning of Monday, I kept lamenting, "I want to watch Oscars. I want to watch Oscars." And so the first time that I found out about the result was during my bus trip to IKEA at about 5.00pm. I'm not that surprised for the results, except slightly for Best Picture. Though I haven't watched Brokeback Mountain, but judging through the critics' reviews, I thought it'd take home the coveted gong. I knew it'd be two-way race between Brokeback and Crash. I read some critics saying that this year the Academy board might decided to award two separate movies for Best Director and Best Picture. Usually, the same movie took both awards. Anyway, Crash, as far as I have watched, is good. My DVD jammed at the car accident part. How could it be?! It's supposed to be the climax of the movie, and then the DVD jammed. Aye, aye. I was really happy that George Clooney took Best Supporting Actor. Yay! He is my favourite old man to be honest hahaha. I really like his sense of humour ^^ Though not his political side. And so, once I reached home at 8.30, I started watching Oscars. I stopped halfway at 10 pm to bathe, and then I continued watching till 11.30 pm. Haha.

Tuesday is great! It was Orientation Day. Oh oh oh, at last I had found one cute guy in my school! Yay! He happened to be from my Orientation Group (OG). From the first time I saw him, I thought that he was really cute haha. We didn't talk much with each other sadly. I only asked him some questions regarding some games. He sat beside me on one of the games. There's one more special memory which I'd like to keep to myself (only my secretkeeper will know it haha =D). I don't know why, I don't dare to look at him in his eyes for too long. Arghh.. I'm blushing as I wrote this. Sadly, after the whole Orientation ended, as I walked to the bus stop with a friend, I saw him. With a girl. Girlfriend, obviously. Which means, I will not keep my expectations too high. At least, I could still google at him in school. Haha.

Some of my friends said that my expectations for guys are too high. To be honest, I have to agree with them =D My litmus test damn hard to pass lah. Acid or Alkali? Hot or not? Hahaha.

Wednesday was normal, but not the evening. I had drama meeting after school, and me and some backstage mates have to sew some clothes. In the process, I got to know better one guy. He's nice =) Though sometimes I think he talks crap haha. Sometimes. He was really nice for sms-ing at about 10 pm to ask about my washing. During the drama meeting, I was complaining to him of how I haven't done washing for 3 days haha. I felt quite terrible that day. So nice of him for him to ask.

On Thursday, something happened that in turn made me realise of something else. After seeing her eyecandy, my classmate, Serene, was really high. Really really high. I've never seen her so happy and smiling so crazily before. And as I watched her, I realised... that that is how it roughly looks when I am high about my handsomes. I'm seeing through Steph Ng's perspective. Hahaha. I really have to agree with you Steph, that the whole situation is hilarious. Now I roughly know how funny I can be when I am high about my handsomes. No, so far I haven't had high about my OG eyecandy yet. Just smiles for about 5 mins each time I see him. Nothing more =) In the evening, it was Drama meeting again. We had to do something with the lighting. I was kinda fun. Oh oh, before the meeting, something disgusting happened. I bought Chicken Rice and placed it on a canteen table. After buying fruits, I saw a mynah eating the chicken from my chicken rice! Arghhhhhhh! It's sooo disgusting!! Of course I threw away my chicken rice immediately. Eating it will be horrendous and disgusting and sick (and so on....). I wasted $2 for another plate of Chicken Rice =( Anyway, going back to drama. Since I only washed my only short sleeve black t-shirt the day before, I didn't bring any t-shirt to Drama. Only black pants. The seniors weren't that happy, and they had every rights to do so. I realised how scary the consequences can be for not wearing blacks (like scolding from the drama teachers-in-charge. I don't like one particular drama teacher. She is still young and yet she seldom smiles..). And so I stayed up until 8 and I went home. Strangely, 8 O'Clock felt quite early to me haha.

Lastly, Friday is a really really weird day. As my classmates and I went to the lift lobby for maths classes, one of my classmates, Sabrina, pointed to me that my most hated teacher of Maths, who is the HOD of Maths, was also taking the elevator. "Your favourite maths teacher," she said. Puih puih. And then, as Jocelyn and I went to our class, we passed a classroom with the teacher inside. My first thought was, "Oh my! That class was really unlucky to get him as tutor." Only about 2 mins later... that I realised I was supposed to go to the classroom. And he was my Maths tutor for the day. Arghhhh!!! NIGHTMARE! Apparently, a lot of students in my tutorial class, including me, had been complaining to my usual Maths tutor that we don't like him and don't get his teaching. He keeps speaking in Mathematics language. And I really can't stand that look on his face. Throughout the lesson, I felt like laughing at him. Especially each time I noticed the Duck Mouth of his. His trademark.. haha. After the lesson, I felt so weird. I was depressed for getting him as a Maths tutor.. and yet I felt funny and wanted to laugh of how weird the whole tutorial was. I don't want to get him as my Maths tutor after March Holiday. Imagine getting him for 2 years for Maths tutorial. Imagine the possibilities. Hahahaha. Nightmareeee!

I'll scan a neoprint I took with my classmates, which is taken in honour of him ;)

I'm really sad that one of my classmates didn't manage to appeal back to the school. And, as she tried to make a last attempt of appeal in my school, my form teacher saw and approached her. My closer classmates and I were with her throughout the whole situation. My form teacher, from the beginning of the conversation, was saying of how she'd comfort my friend. In the end, she failed terribly to. Instead of comforting her, she was more of scolding her. She was talking to my friend in loud voice. "You need to close this ACJC chapter now and move on. You see, even ____ (my sec 3 and 4 classmate who was in ACJC for the first 3 months), who is a 7 pointer student, could not get back to the school!" I think she really blew the situation out of proportion. I was really mad at her. Oh ya, before she started her scolding to my friend, as my friend waited for another teacher, two of my classmates tried to run away from a discipline teacher (the latecoming female teacher). And then my form teacher approached them.. and I followed them curiously. And then she started talking to them about their skirts.. and then when she asked me about my uniform, I just said the skirt shoud be maximum about 2 cm above kneecap. And then she called me, "good girl". HAHAHAHAHA. When she turned back to my friends, I couldn't help but rolled my eyes. I really could not stand her. Throughout the whole scolding thing, I was rolling my eyes many times. She was sooo ironical. Why was she rushing my friend to get over the whole ACJC thing? I mean, she, as a teacher, should understand how the whole situation was really horrible for my friend. She should gave my friend some space. I truly believe that, with the March holiday coming, my friend will be able to move on. Sadly, my form teacher wasn't making the whole situation better. She was making it so much worse.

And so, I'll never turn to her for advice in my life in the future. I'm scared that she'd bombard me with her distinctively-voiced scolding.

And so now I am in Hong Kong. Good time so far. Though Mom is not in her best mood now. There weren't any good movies on the flight just now. No Good Luck and Good Night *cries* I desperately wanted to watch that movie!! I don't it'll ever come to Singapore =( I'm curious of how good it really is...

I'll write again soon :) Shorter hopefully.

I miss doing Star Jumps in the National Library. Haha. Fun times darling ;)

Oh ya! I think Kiefer Sutherland's voice in the Intel/Mac ad is damn damn sexy. He has successfully seduced me. If I have to get to know a man through his voice, I'd have taken him straight away! He passes with flying colours!

I want to watch George Clooney's Jay Leno interview which I had downloaded yesterday in Singapore. Hmm.. guess I'll have to wait.

Ok then. Later and bye bye =)

By the way, have a great holiday to those who are having it now!

Arghh.. I can't log in to MSN messenger =(

Insignificance

Yesterday, due to the posting results of JAE, the day was officially a holiday. I was happy that one of my closest friends in my class will remain in AC. SO HAPPY!! And so, I met up with her (Serene) in Orchard to walk around. Later we met up with Ruben. We had a great day walking around town =) I'm rather sad that one of my best friends' polytechnic application was somewhat unsuccessful. I was really shocked when she told me the news. We were supposed to go out yesterday. I feel really sorry for her. I did have nightmares of such situation in the past. Hopefully the problem will be solved a.s.a.p. Good luck to the people who are doing appeals to their respective JCs (especially to J.Lo. Don't lose your faith darling ;) It's NOT the end of the world!!)

Sigh, I've been sleeping at 2.30 am for two consecutive days.

I taped "Fargo" on AXN last night, and watched it this afternoon. (I woke up at 12.30 pm) It's good good good. I never thought of the idea of how a husband could be so desperate for money that he planned a kidnap of his wife. What kind of husband is that?! The rest of the day was spent alone. Really relaxing day. Really sunny day.

Off to sleep. Later.

Movie Review
Fargo (7.5 stars out of 10)
Great plot and great acting. Strangely, I was rather fascinated by the background orchestra music. It was beautiful yet eerie at the same time. Sometimes I just feel like smacking William H. Macy's character (by the way, he's Felicity Huffman real life husband). His plan, which was supposed to go well, ended disastrously. Watch the movie and you'll get it. France McDormand's character (she's oscar-nominated for North Country this year) was rather kooky ^^ She got an Oscar for that role by the way.

Relaxing...

This week's pretty relaxing. Well, except for Monday, which as usual was horrible. Cold lecture theatres, my most hated teacher and lecturer and long school day which ends at 4.30 pm. I really ate a lot on Monday..

Chicken Rice
7-piece Yong Tau Fu
3 slices of Honey Dew
1 cup of Sugar Cane
1 Cream Cheese Waffle
Some bits of beehoon (which is rather oily)
1 Veggie Mos Burger (to balance things out! haha)

At least I managed to reduce the fats. My weight increased to 65 kg that day. Now it has gone back to the normal weight of 62 kg..

Nothing special on Tuesday...

Wednesday was rather amusing. I went to school at usual time to celebrate Founder's Day. It was half day. In celebration for Founder's Day, we got free cans of Coke Lime haha. Then my class (okay, sort of the whole class) went to Marina Square for 'class outing'. In the end, it didn't really go that well. I leave quite early, because my closer friends have to leave early. Left the people whom I'm not that close to... and whom I don't really like. I don't know why, there's this one guy from another class whick keep tagging along with my class. Please, what's his problem?! To accompany Samuel? Anyway, me and Joscelyn ran away to Suntec City after leaving Marina Square haha. Scared kena caught. On Wednesday, there were 3 ironic events which took place:

1. A Yoshinoya lady reading Burger King coupon leaflet (!!)
2. Suntec's Giordano having a blackout (is it intended or not? not sure) Anyway, on the wall of the Giordano is pasted the writing "It's Black". *lol*
3. Can't remember... but I know there were 3 ironic events on Wednesday

Arghh... so far I can't find single-sided, cheap Walk The Line poster. The version which I want. The one in the movie shop (Popcorn something) is double-sided, the type is exactly like the Closer poster I almost bought last year. I really hope of purchasing a mass-produced Walk The Line poster of that version. Heh. I ate Ben's and Jerry's Chocolate Brownie in Suntec. It's DAMN DAMN DAMN NICEEEEEE!!! $4.50 well spent. I should eat it again when I go to Suntec in the future. Highly recommended!

Today, I reached home late. I went to see a play by my school's drama club. Night of Laughter. It's good. Though some parts of it are really boring. Anyway, $5 was well-spent. A representative from Stanford University also came to my school today to talk about the school. I attended the talk just for curiosity sake. After the talk, I have the impression that the university campus is nice. Well, though I realise that the school are filled with smarties. I don't mind smarties, outgoing people =) There's this voluntary programme, which is initiated by National Library Board, in school about reading to lower income students. Sadly it's only open to J2s... =( I want to goo!!! I'm glad that I've found some people in my class who are enthusiastic about this kind of stuff =)

Tomorrow's holiday. I want to have a lone day on Sunday. Just do my own thing. Reflections, that kind of stuff. Before my mother come back in the evening. I think I'm meeting Tomatoe tomorrow. I doubt we'll watch any movies tomorrow. I'm broke... and I hope I can catch some nice movies in airplane in two weeks' time....

Oh ya yesterday I tried a Mango miniskirt which I bought two years ago. How come it has become damn short already ahhh? I'm quite confused. Have I grown that much? Hahaha. I'd love to go out wearing it with my heels. I think, and I really emphasise that I think, that my legs are beautiful and sexy with heels and mini. Hahahahah *narcism* Well okay, without the top elephant trunk thighs of mine. But it's covered by my minis. Hahaha. I don't know why, it came across to my mind that... I'll only dare to wear that minis of mine with my future husband beside me. Hahahaha. Hopefully he'll protect me. Hahaha. I want to wear that mini... but I'm worried about situations with escalators. Heh.

I better reduce my intake of Yong Tau Fu.... Processed food. Processed food are bad for your health.

Night night and later :)

Summarised

In brief, I have ups and downs last week. Let me begin on Thursday, which was the day the Oasis concert was held. I was really excited to catch one of my favourite bands live. Sadly, the bag which I brought along to the concert and I stored my camera in had to be deposited. Which means, I didn't have any photos of my own for the concert. At least my brother managed to sneak in his in his cargo pants, and caught some pictures and videos =)

Lesson 1: Wear cargo jeans to concerts and hide your camera in the pocket.

Anyway, the $160 tickets are really well-spent. Though there is little communication between the band and the audience, I still have a great time watching them and singing along to some of their songs (I'm really clueless over their new songs :S though). But the lack of communication thing, my brother explained, is their thing and always happens in their concerts. I'm just glad that the Gallagher brothers made it safe and sound to Singapore, and that there were no casualties between them while in Singapore. I think Liam was a bit drunk that night hahaha. So, in the end, we got to take home Oasis wristbands which were tagged around the wrists of the standing peeps, and I bought an Oasis concert book. It's really sad that the Concert poster sold out :'( I thought of buying it before the concert, and then worried that it'd get crumple if I bring into the venue. I should have remembered of the deposit point *lmao*

Anyway, Friday is really really fantastic. I treated Mos, Jessica, Steph Ng, Tiffany and Sheir to Swensens. And, just as I expected, I was sabo-ed. They smeared some ice cream on my face *lmao* And then we took two neoprints. Lots of fun! Not forgetting nice prezzies as well. Thank you to all of you for making the day really special (I still can't believe you got me Vanity Fair, Kiefer fan! Ahahahaha) And oh ya, I managed to wear heels for the first time out of my house, without bringing my flats for the case of emergency in my bag *lmao* Luckily nothing happened.

Lesson 2: Apply some Nivea on the inside of new sandal to prevent blisters ;)

Saturday day is really really sad. I sent off Mos to the airport. I make this black scrapbook for her, which I'm glad that she likes. Cannot stop crying when I see her off. First Tif cried in the taxi. And then nearer to the airport, I also begin to cry. Left Steph who sat in the middle of taxi and didn't cry ahahahaha. Then somemore the songs played in the taxi radio so xian... so depressing.. I'll really miss Mos. Lots of fun memories and experience with her. I will never forget you my dear. You're too cute and huggable to be forgotten! Hahahahaha. Oh ya btw, I stole one piece of tissue from the scrapbook ahahahahah.... because when I was in my apartment lobby, I was a bit sneezy. Ahahaha. Anyway, Mos didn't use the rest of the tissues to cry on =)

Lesson 3: Bring lots of tissues to prepare for sad moments.

After the sending-off of Mos, Steph and I went around Changi Airport, taking some crappy shots and videos. I'm so frustrated that the proper pictures I took turned out grainy. Argh!!! And so I think I have to come back to airport to do some more shooting in one of the days. Anyway, it was really great fun at the airport. The friend salmon at the basement food court is sooo nice!

Lesson 4: Visit airport at day to take nice pictures =)

Yesterday was amazingly retarded. I have a huge row with my Mom. It all began with the failed search of my passport photo film. My mom was nagging the whole day about it. Then, as we prepared to go for dinner, she managed to find the film. Yet, she still nagged about other stuff such as housework and how I spent little time helping her. Then as we walked to Taka, I kept walking far behind her, cause I couldn't stand her nagging. I finally couldn't hold my anger, and I told her to stop treating me like a robot. Apparently, later I found out that she took it at the wrong context. She thought that I meant that she gave a lot of things to do for me, in actual fact, I was trying to tell her that she shouldn't think of me as a cold, heartless person. Anyway, we decided to eat our dinner separately eventually. STRANGELY, both of us wanted to eat in Yoshinoya. And we ordered Tori Karaage. So WEIRD. We sat at different tables. Eventually I went home first to do my homework without saying Bye to her. Anyway, at least this whole saga has ended. She pointed out a flaw of mine which I agree with. I spent too much time on Internet lately.

Lesson 5: Don't spend too much time on especially Internet. Try to help out with Housework. Try to learn how to do more kinds of houseworks.

Yesterday, in Oprah, there is Jake and Heath. I managed to saw glimpse of it, before deciding to tape the rest of it. Today I realised that I saw high definition video of the interview in interviewsrus.com a while ago. How silly of me. So I decided to download it instead, and delete the tape *lmao* I'll download Jake's Ellen interview and Heath's Leno interview as well. So exciting!

So, that's the brief summary of end of last week. I'm still hoping to see last Thursday's Urban tomorrow. Hopefully ms. Alpha will remember to bring it! Ahaha.

Later.

Th(a)nking Day

Today was so much better than yesterday. In the morning, I still felt a little off. But once I got into taxi (I was up late for school! haha), I managed to do some reflections and thinking. I managed to put the problem into another more positive perspective. Now, by looking at the problem through another view, I felt that the problem is not as bad as I thought it had been. I feel so much better now. I'm glad that today was okay.

I'd really to give special thanks to some of my classmates, namely Sabrina, Serene and Jocelyn. They made my day really special today. Today, I really feel strange about something. During the Drama briefing today, I suddenly felt that maybe Drama is not my heart is. Throughout the last 2 months, I really felt weird in the club. I only managed to make several friends. To be more precise, a girl and several boys. I don't know why, but I make friends more easily with the Drama boys than the girls. And... I feel that some of the Drama people are trying to be cool. I especially don't like a senior... Ehm, I'm considering of joining the Tempest crew though. I really want to contribute something to the club before I really consider leaving.

I'd also like to thank my Brother!! Hahahaha. I've never felt so grateful to him for a really looong time. He gave me $50 Kinokuniya vouchers! Arghhhhh! I could spend it on Empire Magazine, or I could spend it on Nick Hornby's "A Long Way Down" novel. By the way, the novel costs about $40. It's a large print edition and is the first edition. I shall really think carefully over how I should spend the voucher =)

Thank you to my Mom also. She had helped me sewn the clothes for the Drama teddy bear *lol* So nice of her! I like the teddy bear dress. Somehow, it reminds me of the Academy Awards *lmao* I don't know why.. hahahah. Thank you also to my parents for treating me to Crystal Jade dinner =) Sadly, the Haagen-Dazs ice-cream waffle cone tasted bitter and terrible. I only ate the ice cream, and threw the cone away. Lesson learnt: never ate haagen dazs ice cream with waffle cone again.

Serene said that it's Thinking Day for the Guides today. Anyway, it's a Thanking Day for me today =)

Some love to Mos =)

Cheers, Olivia

If you're really wondering what has got me mad,
Well, today's news was just a trigger button.
I hate the moment you said "Where got?"
And "I thought you know already" on the weekend,
You're one of my closest friends,
And you do not even tell me in person,
That news of yours,
How was I supposed to know?
From heaven, from my other friends?
A friend of mine and yours didn't even know,
And none of my other friends mentions it.
At least you could have told it by yourself,
and then I won't be so mad at you now.

You have no idea how much I hate you now
It's weird that though you're leaving soon,
My friendship with you is getting more strained each day.
I'm wondering,
Do you still count me as your close friend?
I can imagine that
Once you're gone,
You'll totally forget about me,
Just like how you forget my invitation to you
Two weeks ago
Today I hate you,
Hopefully tomorrow my anger will subside
And at least I still have some love for you.

I'm considering of cancelling my birthday party. I'll decide once I have a clearer mind.
